This is a basic recipe for mashed bananas without eggs. Instead of using sliced apples like I did, you may use apple puree. Using puree increases the liquid content, which raises the flour content as well.

Apple sauce can be used in place of eggs when preparing eggless cakes. I’m unsure how it works, so please do a lot of research if you want to use apple purée instead of curd. Apples are used in this recipe only for crunch, not as a replacement for any other ingredient.

White sugar can also be used, and sweetness can be changed. You will need to use more of brown sugar because brown sugar is less sweet than white sugar.

Sometimes, baking can be tricky. Usually, modifying a recipe will change the outcome. Even if you follow the instructions exactly and don’t see success, don’t give up; keep trying until you do.

Ingredients (about) Banana Apple Cake

  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 2 overripe banana
  • 1 medium-sized apple
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chopped nuts of choice

[I used overripe Robusta Banana. If using smaller variety of bananas, use 4 of them]

• Peal apple and dice it.
• Sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and salt


  • In a bowl, mash the banana.
  • Stir in the milk, curd, butter, and sugar.
  • Pour in the flour mixture. Stir together gently to prevent lumps. If the batter feels thick, use 2 tablespoons of milk.
  • Add the nuts, vanilla essence, and sliced apples. Make one last mixture.
  • Dust the baking tray with flour and grease it with butter. To set the batter, lightly tap after pouring.
  • Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes in a preheated oven.

How to make Banana Apple Cake

Step 1: Chop the apples and walnuts, and mash the bananas.
First, give the apples a good cleaning and wash. Peel the bananas and apples after you’re done. After that, put the bananas in a mixing basin and mash them using a wooden spoon or masher. Next, cut the apples and walnuts into small pieces on a separate, clean cutting board. Set them away for later use.

Step 2: Combine flour and baking powder, then sieve.
In a bowl, mix baking powder and all-purpose flour. Gently strain the mixture through a strainer, setting the sifted mixture aside.

Step 3: Mash the bananas and prepare the cinnamon-milk combination.
Pour the condensed milk, cinnamon, and normal milk into a separate bowl and stir well. When finished, incorporate the mashed bananas into this mixture and stir once more.

Step Four To make the cake batter, combine the flour mixture with the banana mixture.
Add the all-purpose flour mixture to the banana mixture and whisk until a batter-like consistency is achieved.

Step 5: Transfer the batter into a cake mold after adding the apples and walnuts.
Finally, stir in the chopped walnuts and apples. Blend thoroughly. Next, fill a cake mold with the prepared batter after brushing it with butter.

Step Six Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, then allow cake to cool.
Bake the cake at 180 degrees Celsius for 55 to 60 minutes. Before taking the cake out of the cake mold, let it cool. Cut and present!

Set oven temperature to 350°F.
In a large bowl, combine all the wet ingredients and stir thoroughly.
In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients and stir thoroughly.
Mix well after adding the dry to the wet ingredients.
Fill a 9″ x 13″ pan that hasn’t been oiled.
Bake for one hour.


Walnuts can also be substituted with pecans.

For a smaller cake, you may also add 1/2 cup vegetable oil.

To improve the flavor of the cake batter, add 1 tsp of vanilla essence.

Every component needs to be at room temperature.
When combining components, use gentleness and avoid overmixing.
Five to ten minutes can separate baking times. Keep an eye out.
The amount of batter in the baking dish and its depth determine how long it takes to bake. I used a big oval tray that is two inches deep. Because half of the tray was filled with batter, the baking time was 20 minutes.
